Kaija Bonde (Patsy Cline), Sioux Falls, still has to pinch herself every time she takes the stage as The Queen of Country Music. Kaija still finds something new and exciting about that "little ole' country gal." A Sioux Falls native, Kaija has been acting and singing all her life. Favorite roles include Eva Peron in Evita, Maria in The Sound of Music, Sr. Robert Anne in Nunsense, Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods, and Rhetta Cupp in the long running touring show Pump Boys and Dinettes. Heartfelt thanks and love to Brian, her “Partner in Cline” and the world's best husband, father, partner and friend, you make it all possible. And to Ellie, Suzannah, Elijah, and Aaron, “you complete me!”
Jill Johnson (Louise Seger), Sioux Falls, still enjoys being on the road after so many years, with her friend Kaija, playing “Louise” to her “Patsy”. This production has already outlasted the time that Louise knew Patsy, so Jill is grateful and honored to bring this story of friendship to life. It’s the easiest job in the world to portray that friendship, and she thanks you for taking the fun journey with them each time you come to the show. Jill’s theatre credits include Lolita in Tony and Tina’s Wedding, Dr. Gorgeous in Sisters Rossensweig and roles in Evita, Little Shop of Horrors, and A Chorus Line. Jill would like to thank her family for their continued support of Always... Patsy Cline and for being her biggest fans. Thanks guys.
Boyd
Bristow, probably best known for his recent work with Acoustic
Christmas and East of Westreville is the musical
director. A six-piece
country swing band (The
Bodacious Bobcats) featuring members of The Poker Alice Band, captures the style perfectly.
This
toe-tapping group, includes some of South Dakota's premier musicians and
provides the perfect back drop for Cline's unforgettable sound: With
Larry Rohrer on bass, Owen
DeJong on fiddle, Fred Evans on drums,
Harry Wood on steel guitar,
Boyd Bristow on lead guitar and Gail Tallaksen
on piano.
